I’m a woodwind repair specialist — conservatorium-trained musician and graduate of Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, Minnesota, one of the few dedicated band instrument repair programs in the world. That combination means I understand what players need from their instruments, and I have the technical training to deliver it.
I spent eight years at Flutes and Flutists working alongside Angus McEwan, servicing instruments for principal players in Australian orchestras and ensembles. Flutes, clarinets, and saxophones are my core work. I also take on brass repairs.
I’m not a dealer and I don’t sell instruments. That means you get a straight assessment — what your instrument needs, what it doesn’t, and whether a repair is worth doing at all. No upselling, no pressure.
I work from my own workshop on Dangar Island on the Dyarubbin (Hawkesbury River). For flutes and clarinets, Australia Post works well — they deliver direct to the island. For saxophones, or if you’d prefer, I can arrange pickup and drop-off in Sydney. If you’d like to drop in, the island is about 90 minutes from the city — train to Hawkesbury River station, then a short ferry ride across. It’s a car-free community and a good excuse to get out of Sydney for the day.
Send me a message to discuss what your instrument needs.
